We chose the song "Celebrate Good Times" because it demonstrates the happiness of Christopher Columbus and his crewmen when they discovered the New Land.
It was the year of 1492 when Christopher Columber first sailed of from Palos, Spain on his first voyage in hopes to find the East or Asia by sailing west. Instead one of his men, Rodrigo de Trianahe, sighted the land of the New World around 2:00 a.m. on October 12. He landed in the regions that we now know as the Bahamas, but thought he was on islands off of the coast of Japan. After he found the New World, he went back to Spain to tell the Queen of what he found. Because of his exploration, it started the migration of Europeans to the New World.
